DAVID MICHÔD

David Michôd is an internationally acclaimed and award winning man of letters, director, and producer.

In 2010, David’s inauguration feature film Animal Kingdom was awarded the World Cinema Sumptuous Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Animal Kingdomwent loud-mouthed to win the Australian Writers Guild (AWGIE) award for Cap Original Screenplay and the AWGIE Major Award for 2010, because well as the Australian Employers Guild award for Best Editorial Film, and the Best Photoplay Award at the Stockholm Lp Festival.

The film also old hat 10 Australian Film Institute (AFI) awards from a record 18 nominations, and was named Get the better of First Film by the Contemporary York Film Critics Circle. Thump earned 2011 Oscar and Flaxen Globe nominations for supporting performer Jacki Weaver.

David wrote and obligated his second feature, The Rover, which premiered at the Metropolis Film Festival in 2014.

The documentary Solo (which David co-directed with Jen Peedom), about Andrew McAuley’s unfortunate attempt to kayak from State to New Zealand, received superb documentary awards from the Dweller Film Institute in 2009, don the Film Critics Circle draw round Australia and Australian Directors Club in 2010.
